I’m working on a theory of developing models or frameworks that can be the root of a sustainable corporate strategy of continuous innovation as competitive advantage on a global scale. With Web 2.0 maturing into a post industrial platform in it’s own right, the old business school models cannot be derivatively applied anymore and thus, rules of thumb for innovation are imperative. Currently 97% of all innovations fail. If we don’t prototype and iterate, how will we develop new business models? However, simply trial and error won’t do, there are now enough case studies, spectacular failures and ludicrous successes for some semblance of analysis, which is what I’m attempting to do. And to articulate the insights from the analysis, hopefully to synthesise new methods.
My chosen metaphor is limnos.
